This lesson is done in a sitting position with the soles of the feet touching. You can prop yourself up by sitting on a folded blanket or on a firm cushion. If you’re uncomfortable on the floor, you can also sit on a stool or chair.

On the Back & Stomach
Read moreIn this lesson you will feel how your breathing affects your posture and mobility.
You will breathe into your lungs whilst lying on the back and stomach, visualising of the internal cavity of your chest. By bringing your attention to places in your chest that remain unused and therefore hard to move, you will be able to better differentiate between lung tissue and the tissues that belong to the muscular-skeletal system.
If you have any spasms, fractured ribs or injuries in the chest area, please move with even more delicacy then usual, to make sure that you are encouraging healing and not strain.

Students vary from newborns to the elderly, busy housewives to high performers and professionals. The outcome from each lesson is often very surprising in how it enhances the person’s ability to perform with more ease and flexibility.
During Feldenkrais group or individual lessons, we use awareness in our sensations and in our actions to learn to look into where we are, what we do with ourselves and our bodies, and how we reach our goals with more ease.
Feldenkrais participants discover the joy of learning new ways to move, think and feel through their action when they become aware of what they are doing.
