Bending & Rolling

This lesson offers a different look at how to do ‘crunches’ to activate the abdominal muscles.

The lesson can be done in a continuum or in two to three stages with short brakes in between: The first part works with enabling the head to lift more easily. After that comes a part in which I speak about how to work if you have functional limitation in the hip or elsewhere. You can get up and walk a bit to feel the changes before you come back to the second part of the lesson which works with various combinations of flexion. The third part of the lesson involves also gentle rolling on the torso.

As I explain in the lesson, if you have any limitation that prohibits you from lifting the knee to the chest, you can keep the legs standing and do the movements in your imagination or you can work on a micro-level and lift the leg just a tiny bit, before it involves any pain.
