In this lesson you’ll improve the bending of the spine, which will enhance the rolling of the head as well as lifting it off the floor with a sense of lightness. This will result in feeling the head well-supported and the shoulders freed from weight in standing.
During the lesson you will hook onto the leg with a hand; lengthening the leg will help to make the head and chest lighter so they can follow the direction of the leg and lift off the floor.
Don’t be tempted to stretch the leg all the way; that won’t help the upper body and the head to lift, it will only ‘tear’ an imaginary cord between them.
