Shoulder Blades

Your shoulder girdle will receive attention in this gentle lesson, through active movements of the arms and passive movements of the body moving over the shoulder blades.

Becoming aware of your shoulder blades will help you to gain more freedom in your arms and the head, bringing them closer to each other.

You’ll be lying on the back and on the side, twisting the spine gently or pushing the floor to create rotations and rolling of the chest on the floor.

Note: Don’t overstretch the arms or keep them somewhere painful. Sometimes a small change in angle can make a big difference. The arms will improve gradually as the lesson progresses as long as you are mindful to work with ease – this can be the hardest thing in the lesson!
