Half Lotus Position for Every Person

In this lesson you’ll discover an increasing comfort and range to open the knee to the side whist lying on the back and on the side. And you’ll discover much more than this: How to connect this leg to yourself with flexibility of body and mind, so this leg can serve you not just in a given position, but as part of you in a changing world.

In fact, in Feldenkrais we’re not interested in static positions or in improving movement just for the sake of the movement. Improving your sitting with the legs crossed or in a lotus position is a nice achievement and can certainly bring some improvement to your quality of life by introducing more flexibility and new positions to be in, but what we are looking for in this method is new and endless possibilities for improvement, new connections between body parts with smoother collaboration between them to ourselves, personally and socially.
